המיזם "בנייה, קהילה ושיקום" הוא סדנה אקדמית מבוססת עשיה, שמטרתה לתרום לתהליכי שיקום בקהילה – הן באופן פיזי והן באמצעות העמקת הידע אודות כלים לשיקום קהילות. זאת, במקביל לתרומה לתהליכי בניית החוסן והשיקום האישיים של המשתתפים בה. את הרעיון למיזם הגה פרופ' ליאור זמר בעזרת זיו לידרור, והמיזם פותח על-ידם בשיתוף עם עמרי רונן מ"בונים מחדש" והותאם תוך-כדי תנועה כמה שניתן לדגשים שעולים מהקהילה.

כדברי עמרי רונן: "הבנו שאי אפשר לעבוד בטור וצריך לעשות שיקום תוך-כדי המלחמה". בהתאם לכך החל המיזם לפעול במאי 2025 בשיתוף עם אחת הקהילות שנפגעה באופן הקשה ביותר ב-7.10 – קיבוץ כפר-עזה. שני המחזורים הראשונים כללו שבוע עבודה מרוכז של כ-20 סטודנטים בשכונת הנעורים בקיבוץ, בהנחיית "בונים מחדש", במהלכו שמעו מאנשי מעשה מובילים בתחום השיקום, ונציגים מהקהילה. לצד אלו למדו הסטודנטים תכנים אקדמיים בהובלת אחת מהיזמות, זיו לידרור, וממרצים אורחים בתחומי הפסיכולוגיה, הממשל והכלכלה. בתום הסדנה, מגישים המשתתפים ניירות עמדה לשינוי מדיניות השיקום של קהילות אלה. הניירות משותפים עם שותפינו מהקהילה ובהתאם לדגשים מהם ומשותפים בשדה האקטיביזם החברתי – יקודמו ההצעות אל מול גורמי הממשל.

במחזורים הבאים, השאיפה היא לשלב בסדנה גם צעירים מהקהילות עצמן, כך שיזכו בחשיפה לעולם האקדמי, כחלק מתהליך השיקום; ולצד זאת להתרחב לקהילות מסוגים שונים (בכללן קהילות עירוניות כמו קהילות שנפגעו במלחמה עם אירן ובחזית הצפון), תחומי עשיה שונים ותחומי למידה אקדמית שונים. בכך נוכל להמשיך ולהרחיב את האימפקט של האקדמיה לטובת שיקום החברה, תוך חיזוק מיומנויות אקדמיות ולמידה מעמיקה ומבוססת עשיה. לפרטים ושיתופי פעולה. לפניות קהילות עירוניות בעקבות המלחמה באיראן - ניתן לפנות ישירות לזיו לידרור, משתתפת מחזור 6 של תכנית ההאצה, 054-7776115. An action-based academic workshop that supports community recovery through rebuilding and knowledge development, while fostering participants’ personal resilience. The initiative was conceived and developed by Prof. Lior Zemer, Ziv Lidror, and Omri Ronen, and continuously shaped in response to needs and insights emerging from the communities themselves.

As Omri Ronen noted: “We realized that recovery cannot wait - it must take place alongside the ongoing war.” Accordingly, the program launched in May 2025 in partnership with Kibbutz Kfar Aza, one of the communities most severely affected on October 7. The first two cohorts included an intensive week of hands-on work by 20 students, guided by “ReBuilders”, alongside learning from community representatives, leading academic lectures and practitioners before and after this intensive week. Participants conclude the workshop by producing policy papers aimed at advancing community recovery, which are developed in dialogue with community partners and promoted within the social impact ecosystem and relevant governmental bodies.

Future cohorts aim to include young members of the communities themselves, expand to additional community types - including urban communities affected by ongoing conflicts - and broaden both fields of practice and academic inquiry, thereby strengthening the role of academia in societal recovery through experiential learning.
